Not My Boy Evil Lives Here

The difficulty that these parents had raising Paul and yet the love that they have. The deliverance that is experienced at the end. Beauty in the midst of pain.

Paul

Isaiah 10:27 New King James Version (NKJV)

27 It shall come to pass in that day
That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

The creativity that you have is no accident. It was given that you would use it to bring freedom to others.

Prayers for Clive

I made a little prayer book for Clive praying April - August.

Here are some examples

July 2

Ring in freedom
Ring in love
Over all of our difficulties
Hovers the dove

Aug 10

The wind and the waves obey Jesus
So also should we
So also should our ailments
He cares for us
He loves us
Let that love flow over Clive and his family now

Aug 20

Loved. Wanted.
May your soul know how the Lord chases after you.
How He loves you and has a purpose for you

Fight

minute 33 in the video below:

"When all you have had to do in your life is fight, everything is a fight. Everything looks like a treat. Everything sounds like an insult. Every time someone doesn't check on you it feels like abandonment. It is the trauma that is being triggered

Biggest problem

The biggest problem before Jesus was no fish. The biggest problem after Jesus was broken nets.

River

We are the river of the spirit, it flows thought us to the world. Water is representative of the spirit and God chose for us to be the river to the world. Let the Spirit flow onto the banks.

through the eyes of a lion

Levi Lusko

p.xxv The issue isn't if your life is going well or falling apart; the question is, what makes you so sure that you can tell the difference?

p.40 Nobody asks to be in an emergency. We certainly didn't. Death doesn't call ahead.

p.46 I will walk with a limp, but I am better for it.

p.55 There are supposedly stages of grief: denial and isolation, anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance. My experience is that these don't come so tidily as moving from one zone to another. It's messy and muddled. You move in and out of the stages at random. They swirl together like an ugly emotional cocktail.

p.57 hurting with hope still hurts

p.60 Why do we still have to die? For something that has been abolished, it seems as though business is booming

p.88 Holy Ghost jet pack

p,102 Carl Lentz "It's better to win ugly than lose pretty. The secret is to keep showing up"

p.144 The devil wants you to give up what Christ died for you to have, and he knows that if he can distract you, he can destroy you.

City of freedom

Kingston was the prison capital. Maybe because God wanted it to be a city of freedom.

Pain and fear.
Cry those hard tears.

From Eleanor

Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine

by Gail Honeyman

A very funny and touching story, I would recommend it!

(about a trip to McDonalds) p.123

I opted for the coffee, which was bitter and lukewarm. Naturally, I had been about to pour it all over myself but, just in time, had read the warning printed on the paper cup, alerting me to the fact that hot liquids can cause injury.

p.153

"Nine years, and you've never had a day off sick, never used all your annual leave. That's dedication, you know. It's not easy to find these days"
"It's not dedication," I said "I simply have a robust constitution and no one to go on holiday with"

p.169

I do feel that tube tops are best suited to the under twenty-fives,if, indeed, they are suited to anyone.

(about the crematorium) p. 197

I'm not sure that I would like to be burned. I think I might like to be fed to zoo animals. It would be both environmentally friendly and a lovely treat for the larger carnivores.

p.236

They were prepared to maintain contact, even if you were sad, or upset, or behaving in very challenging ways

Mark 16

16 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”

Walking to the tomb
Laden with pain
Laden with sorrow
Hearts heavy
Mind clouded with fear
Gathering up the spices
Just wanting to see Him one more time
Wanting to touch Him
Missing Him
How can we go on?
Going to the tomb
Not knowing what was next
Not knowing how to move the stone
Walking towards a stone wall
Preparing to see Him
But not knowing how
Holding spices in their hands
Arriving at the tomb
Expecting to need human help
But God had already made the way
The stone was rolled away
The tomb was empty
He has risen!
